Fat Blossom Farm

A small creative family farm in southwest Michigan

Situated in beautiful southwest Michigan, we are a small family farm and we care for about fifty acres of beautiful, diverse land replete with rolling hills, walking trails, deep woods, a moat, and of course, wonderful, fertile, dirt. We've been working this particular dirt since 2008 and have about 20 acres in cultivation. We are committed to appreciation of the land, sustainable growing practices,  and sharing the wonder of nature.

This is a greeting card that comes with a cute packet of seeds (a big pot's worth) and can be turned into a sign for your plant. Simply cut off the back of the card (keep the growing instructions), remove the seed packet, and use a stick (I recycled a paint stick) by sliding it up the same slot the seeds came out of. Voila! Designed and illustrated by me, these are printed on waterproof paper and can encourage someone to grow a little bit of their own goodness. Its also a really unique way to say thank you and give a gift that keeps on giving!

Here are some of the details:
-The paper is from National Geographic, is truly waterproof (I tested it outside for a MONTH!), and is recyclable with Bulk Plastics. It doesn't hold up to aggressive rubbing, but does fine even in downpours and snow.
-The seeds are organic and sourced from either Johnny's Select Seeds or Seed Savers Exchange for the 2014 growing season.
-The card and seed envelopes are from French Paper, from a local family-operated mill that is 100% hydroelectric since 1922.
-The whole shebang comes in a clear sleeve made from plants and certified compostable by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI).
