A small creative family farm in southwest Michigan

Situated in beautiful southwest Michigan, we are a small family farm and we care for about fifty acres of beautiful, diverse land replete with rolling hills, walking trails, deep woods, a moat, and of course, wonderful, fertile, dirt. We've been working this particular dirt since 2008 and have about 20 acres in cultivation. We are committed to appreciation of the land, sustainable growing practices,  and sharing the wonder of nature. 

 

Farm to Table Sunset Dinner Series "Indian Summer"

For the second time this summer, we are joining up with Naturally Fortified for a farm pop-up dinner in Chicago. Here's some information from the event page:

Healthy Lifestyle Coach, Chip Allman-Burgard, and Dr. Keith Burgard's company, Naturally Fortified, is committed to bringing clients back to their “path to total health” through coaching to eat local, seasonal, organic foods while removing processed foods from their lives and adding appropriate exercise.

Our second Sunset Series dinner has some great surprises as well as:

•Live music from one of Chicago's rising stars.

•Ticket price includes a FREE wine tasting at Ward Eight Bar on Thursday 9/19 at 7pm!

The wine tasting event will allow you to taste a variety of Resonance Wines' selections and offer you an opportunity to pre-order the wine that will then be waiting for you on your arrival at the dinner!  Owner, Anne Carlson, will be working closely with Chef to make sure the selections and the Indian-inspired fare work nicely together.

For our second event, we are delighted to once again feature our friends at Fat Blossom Farm, from Allegen, MI.  We have known them for years and have cultivated a lovely relationship from seeing their beaming smiles at many of Chicago’s farmers markets.

Dubbed the “Sunset-Series,” these seasonal events will begin with a sunset cocktail hour featuring a signature cocktail from our friends at Ward Eight in Evanston, as well as a bubbly toast.

Chef Marianne Sundquist of Mess Hall and Co. and former Executive Chef of In Fine Spirits (IFS) lounge is our muse of all things farm to table and she will be at the helm of this amazing event.
